Re the reversing lights, has any work been carried out on the gear box recently? If there has been might be that the lights are not connected correctly. Might be another wiring related issue however. The various electrical faults indicate that there might be something wrong with something like the dody control module, or perhaps a wiring related issue, there are too many failures for the m to be occuring independently of each other I think. You need the services of a very good auto electrician with volswagen experience I believe, do not entrust the work to a mechanic. If the car runs and drives the battery should be ok, also, the faults you describe have little to do with the battery state unless it is dead and the car will not start. The issue is NOT there

My Polo Classic 1.6 is making a scary noise on the suspension when I turn my front wheels either to left or right. We have replaced both sides tie rod ends and ball joints and checked the suspension rubber mounting but the sound is still there. Can you please assist in this regard. Kabelo

The problem is you drove with a "check engine " light on! This means you made the problem worse. You need to check the codes (Autozone or Pepboys will do it) because knowing you were the owner, this Volkswagen recorded all the sensor fuel and other issues that came up while you ran it. These codes will tell you all the faults, and Pep boys will sell you the parts

I am guessing you have an automatic. If you do, find an empty road or large parking lot and put the car in low gear and drive with the RPM at about 2500 to 3000. That will not be fast in low gear (maybe 15 mph). If that is the case, then it's a function of engine speed. My guess is that there is air in the coolant system that needs to be removed. Unscrew coolant reservoir attachment screws and stand it on it's side such that the coolant goes down the tubes. If there is air in the lines, bubbles will come up. You have to lift it way up though. Do this with the engine running and warmed up such that the thermostat is open. If it opens while you're holding the reservoir up, you may see the volume drop down a bunch... that would be good news as your problem is likely solved.Mechanic #1 is a criminal. Just starting the car and letting it idle would tell him if the fan works or not as the car would get hot quickly and need the fan. Plus... your car is not overheating, it is under-heating. There is no way you needed a fan. Temp sensor is a longshot because it is not speed related. You likely don't need a radiator because, as said, you're under-heating. Same for pump.Another easy check to do is to run the heater and see if the heating capability (the temperature of the air coming out of the vents) matches what you see on your temperature scale. If it does, then coolant is not circulating because of the air lock. This is something you can do without going to a mechanic.When adding coolant, DO NOT ADD JUST ANY COOLANT. You should use the VW coolant that is red. Failing to do this will require you to replace all your hoses in the future. It's expensive, but cheaper in the long run. You also have to cut it 1 to 1 with water.
