The intermediate shaft speed sensor, also known as the intermediate shaft speed sensor G68, is located on the intermediate shaft of the transaxle in your Volkswagen Routan. The intermediate shaft is a long, cylindrical shaft that runs the length of the transaxle and connects the various gears and components inside. The intermediate shaft speed sensor is typically mounted on the side of the intermediate shaft, near the front of the transaxle. It may be necessary to remove some components or panels in order to access the intermediate shaft and the intermediate shaft speed sensor. If you are having trouble locating the intermediate shaft speed sensor, it may be helpful to consult a repair manual for your specific vehicle.
