How to remove visonik vcd51 head unit from car dashboard

This usually involves removing the plastic bezel around the stereo. Sometimes these plastic bezels hold some buttons for air conditioning and heat, as well as the hazard lights button. These plastic bezels usually are just snapped in with metal clips on the back of them. You can pry them outward and with a good yank they will pop out. Once you have the plastic bezel around the radio removed, there will be 2-4 screws on the sides, or top and bottom. Once you remove those, the whole radio will pull right out of the dash. Then you have to un-clip the wire harness from the car, and unplug the antenna cable. If you plan on putting a different stereo in the car, KEEP the mounting bracket around the stereo, as well as the "wiring harness" that was used to plug into the vehicle harness. That will save you about $50 in parts to put a new stereo in.

More clarification on the original question sub connection have no markings as + or - red or black nothing need to know which is what on these 12 dvc visonik subs if you put upside down which side is

To be absolutely sure of which terminal is positive and which is negative, we will use a 1.5 v battery to have the speaker react as though it is playing music.
* special note * do not use any more than 1.5 v as it may damage the speaker coil
As we know, batteries are marked positive, negative, or both ... we will use this to our advantage when hooking up the battery to our speaker.
battery.gif
To start the process, temporarily attach a short piece of wire to each terminal of the speaker (be sure to either use wire that is marked, or wire of differing colours to help determine which terminal is which). In our example, we used standard speaker wire which is "polarized" (one wire is made of copper and the other is made from tin .. interestingly, this serves no electrical purpose)
speaker_battery.gif
Once you have connected the wire to your speaker, proceed to briefly touch the free ends of the wire to the battery terminals (as shown below). In some cases, extended contact with the battery has caused cancer of the voice coil (ie. blown speaker)

If the speaker moves OUT when the battery is first connected, the battery is connected in proper alignment. Be sure to take note of which wire is connected to the positive terminal of the battery as this is your speaker's positive terminal.

Got a used V117SX without the 6 wire plug. WHAT CAN I DO?

You can only use it for subs....That wiring harness is for smaller speakers. If you have subs and you have an aftermarket radio you will need to run rcas, a ground power wire and a remote.

Don't know how to hook up the amp. It came

You need to connect the Power wire (Most likely red wire with fuse) to the battery and run it to where you put the amp. You need to also drill a whole in the car and make sure it is grinded up and bare metal is shown. Screw the ground wire there with a bolt and nut. You will then need to run the rca cables from the amp location to either the back of the headunit if it has RCA outputs, or use a Line out converter, you can get them at best buy. Then you need to find your cars wiring harness code and figure out which is the remote ignition turn on and tap into that and feed that wire back to the amp to turn it on. Hook all wires up and make sure power and ground DO NOT TOUCH.

I wanna put it into my car myself but dont know

you will need a amp install kit witch comes with a 15 ft patch cable power line for amp and a blue line for remote. these wires run from the radio to the amp. The blue wire is called remote it turns the amp on or off depending on the radio state. the patch cable is rca jacks on both ends the back of the radio should have the female part of the rca jacks hanging from it. The other end goes into the amp. and last but not least the heavy red wire will go from the battery to the amp usually there is a fuse holder that you need to put between the battery and the amp. As far as grounding just ground the amps negative to the car chasis some where.

Good Luck Hope this helps

Make sure the fuses aren't blown. There should be fuses on the amp itself and an in-line fuse in the live power wire near the car battery. If the fuses aren't blown, make sure the remote wire is connected from the head unit. Then re-check your power and ground connections. The ground should be solidly connected to the vehicle chassis in a paint-free location.

I dont know why my amp is not getting any power?

Make sure you have both power wires hooked up. There's the main power lead/cable going to to the battery, and the trigger wire from the accessory wire from the radio (antenna) to the amplifier. Hope that's what you were looking for. If so please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial.

Will it go into protect

protect mode is normally when there is to much power running to the amp. if a fuse is blown it normally wont turn on. but take your fuses out hold them to a light and you will be able to see through the fuse. there will be two prongs that will be connected by a U shaped piece of metal. if that piece of metal is still in tacked the fuse is good. you should have a big fuse running with your major power. also check your ground if your ground is loose or has a bad connection. and make sure the the subs go to the amp. if the subs are drawing to much power from you amp it will go on safe mode as in if you have a 2 ohm amp and a 4 ohm speaker. i hope this helps you.

I need to move the amp off of my visionik vbx12a

maybe you can build an amp rack some where else in the car or behind a pannel but make sure you use some kind of 12 volt fans to keep the amp cool . then extends the wire to the subbox and then you have to disconnet the subbox and move it not the amp

My visonik v700hc keeps going into protect

I suggest checking what ohm load you're presenting to that amp. go to www.the12volt.com and find the subwoofer wiring diagram and choosing the amount of subs you have on it and then the impedence of each one. you're probably sending too low of an ohm load to the amp this would cause it to go into protection quite frequently and eventually stay in protection.
