go to an appliance repair shop as many have generic cords that will fit much of the electrical connections are generic as manufacturers use what is available as it saves production costs

The top of your waffle maker has an indicator on the top that shows when the heating coils are on. It should go out when the iron reaches the correct temperature. If it does not go out it may mean that the contacts are stuck and that it is dangerous.
