BATTERY INSTALLATION: The HX5R features our Dual Power Recharging system and can be powered by a rechargeable battery pack or a standard CR123 alkaline battery. To install the rechargeable battery pack, unscrew the body of the light (near the power button) counterclockwise and place the rechargeable battery pack into the light in the direction indicated by the arrow on the battery pack; arrow towards the front of the light. Replace the body of the light and turn it clockwise to tighten it until it is fully closed. To operate the light with a standard CR123 battery, place the battery into the light in the direction inside of the light. Replace the body of the light and turn it clockwise to tighten it until it is completely closed.

This is quite difficult and fiddly. The fuse unit is situated above where the cassette gets inserted. Remove the cassette and at the top front left hand side you will see the wiring in the cavity. This will give you access to the fuse unit and reed switch. I am assuming the toilet won't flush. If this is the problem then the answer is above. If the problem is the light will not illuminate when full then it is the reed switch that needs replacing or by passing. Hope this helps.

Self repair can be dangerous, as the capacitor packs quite a charge. For safety, I would find a replacement.

They seem to make a few models. There are videos and text articles, but the best thing is to lay out the tent base, make up the poles and work it out. Peg the 4 corners of the tent, then it depends on the type of tent, but ridge pole in next, then the apex poles at the end, and then lift up on the legs. There will be a section of the body that unscrews. From the photo it looks like that might be the narrowest section of the torch. Firmly grip the wide head end of the torch with one hand and the body with the other. Gently but Firmly twist them in opposite directions. Turn them the same way a nut and bolt would Unscrew.
