The Main reason why it comes on is the water is empty. Beyond that.. try cleaning your machine. Also, I have two of these thing and I have yet to get it to work more than five minutes on high. Low.. it works all day long.

with cool mist humidifiers your not suppose to see any mist. if it's a warm mist there should be. but by your model number i'm finding that it's a cool mist. that's why your not seeing any mist.

My cord is also getting very hot after being plugged in for just a few minutes. Is there a cause for concern here? It's not even a year old, bought in January of 2022.

You don't. There are some solutions you can but for it to make sure it doesn'y get slimmy, but that's about it. It works quite well without any medicine, just works great!! Ever since I bought it six years ago my son loves it and his room gets nice and cool and he can sleep and breathe much better at night. Good luck and hoepfully this was helpful to you. The easiest ans simplest way to clean it, is too mix a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar & Bottled Distilled Water (enough to fill the tank) and fill the the tank with the solution. Allow it to set for 30 minutes, then turn the unit ON. Allow it to run, until the tank is half empty. Pour out the remaining solution and fill with the Bottled Distilled Water Turn the unit ON and run until the tank is almost empty. Following these instruction will remove all the lime and calcium build up in the unit.

Tip: Using bottled Distilled Water rather than Tap Water, will totally eliminate calcium and lime buildup.

You may be over filling the unit. Take the refillable water tank out and with the power removed try to remove all the extra water where the tank goes. check for anything that looks cracked inside the unit the best you can. If the tank is seating properly it should not leak. If it is filled properly it should not leak.

I had this same problem! It's not because the tank is too full. I never overfilled mine, but I had the same spitting problem. I realized it was because I had added too much salt. I tried it once with no salt, but it never did anything. Literally was plugged in for 12 hours, and nothing happened. So I added just a PINCH of salt, and it works perfectly now. It's also not because you haven't cleaned it.....Literally just too much salt.

if possible try and check the lines or hoses that run from the wat er supply to the point where the steam comes out. It is very possible that the lines are clogged with water deposits. Thats why most of the time they suggest that you use distilled water in your vaporizer. hop this helps. Lynn

Not much. You can check to see if your house fuse has blown to your outlet which you plug the device into. You can try cleaning the element with vinegar, allowing it to break off any white residue. You can't reset it if you have an inactive reset light. If it happened to be under warranty, now would be a good time to make use of that. These units seem to require daily cleaning. Whether or not that is a factor in it being inoperative, I can't say. I am including a link to its user manual but a quick look at the troubleshooting in the guide is not particularly helpful in this instance. You have a short in there and that accounts for the tripping circuit breaker. If the insulation on the heating coil has gone that could be a good reason for the issue. Open it up and look for the short.

If your water is hard I would you softened water

First off, you should not have lime buildup if you used distilled water and NOT TAP Water. If some build up occurs, cleaning should be done using VINEGAR solution. Check the float valve and gaskets. Replace any filters. Clean nozzles or exit ports where mist is spewing from. These units are low cost devices and repairing them is not economical.
