The manual is complicated and incomplete ... probably because they have built-in or intuitive steps that display when you program the timer... or they assume you want to fiddle around with their product. I have set these timers, and while they are tedious to work with, they do function as promised. I downloaded the manual: http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/SE11P-Manual.pdf If you have the clock and days set properly, try programming again using the information on pages 6-8. Follow the instructions for each line and button push.

try to create a new "user " password and write it on masking tape and attatch to top frame of the monitor..

have the same model and same problem. Sometimes it connecst and sometimes not. I think they stopped making them as I can't find it on the net anywhere. Better invest in another brand

ET130 timer appears to have 6 buttons with 3 buttons on each row.
