This is a switch so if it is the only thing that is attached to your modem it will not work for more than one device. The first device that it talks to will be the only one with internet. If you want to use internet on more than one device you need to get a router. This will make it so you can use more than one device on your network.
If it is not the only thing attached to your modem and a router comes first then setup is simple. You just have an Ethernet cable go from any port on the router to the "uplink" or "internet" port on the switch. Once this is attached you can attach anything else to the switch and it will have internet.
