What is the problem why the arrow keys functioning differently.

Disconnect and reconnect your computer keyboard, then restart your computer.

Sometimes a poor connection can result in keys not working on your keyboard

Update the device driver for your keyboard by going to the manufacturer's website of your keyboard, and then download and install the latest driver matching the brand and model number of your keyboard.

Disconnect your keyboard from your computer and inspect the pins in the keyboard connector if you have a PS/2 connector.

The PS/2 connector for your keyboard has six pins, which connect into a PS/2 port of your personal computer, to allow for communication to and from your keyboard.

Straighten any bent pins you may find, by gently using a ballpoint pen.

You must replace your keyboard if you see broken pins.

Try testing your keys using a different application, such as another word processing program. Keys like the function keys on your keyboard labeled F1 through F12 may not work in one application but will work fine in another.

Clean Under Desktop Keys

Disconnect your standard desktop keyboard, then press down on a key not working.

Slip a car key or a flathead screwdriver underneath the key.

Twist the screwdriver or car key until the keyboard key pops off.

Use a damp cloth, moist cotton swabs or compressed air to remove dust, hair, and food crumbs under the key.

Use only water or rubbing alcohol to moisten the cloth and cotton swabs---other cleaners can damage the plastic of your computer.

Position and press down on the key to snap it into place.

Repeat this for all of the keys to clean underneath them, if necessary.

hope this helps

Keyboard won't sync with receiver

OK ..the pairing of he receiver with the keyboard it is not something that depends on the operation system..The actual pairing is made by pressing the button on the receiver ..and the keyboard..and let them blink until it s found...also important for using on mac is the driver for it to be recognized...if you do not have a cd with the driver for mac..look on the manufacturer's site for support and download ...
if it used to work but now it do not make the synchronization (pairing ) ..check the batteries on the keyboard and change them ..cause being a wireless the keyboard do not receive the power from the usb port and it depending on functioning to the batteries inside..
so ..the steps in short ...install the driver and restart ...insert the receiver ..and press both sync buttons..on the receiver ..(starts blinking so it is searching for device ) and the keyboard to transmit signal ..so to be found..When they stop blinking ..the pairing is made..and should work if the driver is ok ..

I am receiving a error message on boot, When it

Have you activated the wireless connection between the keyboard and the reciever. if this is not done then it wont work. There should be a button on the keyboard that you must hold down so that the signal can be recognized at the reciever end. Try it and see....if this is no good then you need another wireless keyboard setup!!!

We have tried to boot our computer this morning

try using a different keyboard if you have one around, you can pick one up at the store fairly cheap if you need a new one, otherwise to see if it is the computer, try another keyboard from a different computer. If that doesn't work try a usb keyboard when you can get one.

Wireless Optical mouse - C5100M

Hello patches23,

Try the following procedure:

1. Go to your device manager. START>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM (If using XP, make sure you have chosen 'classic view' from the left side panel)>click on the 'Hardware' tab and you should see DEVICE MANAGER. Click this button.
2. Find the entry MICE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICES and click on the (+) sign next to it. Now you should see your mouse or just “HID compliant mouse” listed there. Double click this.
3. In the box that pops up, choose the "Driver" tab.
4. Click the button that says 'Uninstall Driver'.
5. Once this is done, right click on the MICE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICES entry again and from the menu chose "Scan for hardware changes" to reinstall or upgrade the driver.
6. On the 'General Properties' tab of the device, click 'Troubleshoot' to start the Troubleshooting Wizard and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hopefully, this should resolve the problem..

P.S. Before you assign a rating, please make sure that the issue is resolved or you are satisfied. Unotron optical mouse under Vsta HPrm !

The Unotron CS5100 range was discontinued some 3 - 4 years ago and replaced with the WS5100 so I am guessing that the one you have would not support Vista.

Have you tried contacting the place you bought it from, maybe they will switch it for you?
