Second question. I also have a Uniden BC340CRS base. It does not work. It only plays static. Can I get this fixed?

You can get it fixed. The problem is finding someone to help you. Some of us "old" techs used to repair CB's, especially for Loggers. Then they became so cheap (CB's), no one wanted to fix them anymore. We have to charge for our time and expertise. So, look for an older tech. They can guide you through the repair and may have parts.

CB Uniden 4-wire mic to a Uniden 510 radio how to wire color codes please

look up microphone wiring diagram for your cb and mic. more than one way to wire, depending on mic and cb having 4 or 5 on plug end. write down mic numbers and cb plug numbers. if audio on mic is 3 and cb is 4 put 3 on 4 pin check each wire. using power mic make sure red and black wire are on the right pin, can damage radio or mic or both.

Uniden bearcat scanner wont scan

Make sure the volume is up a little and then make sure the squelch is set so you do not hear any static (white noise). Also make sure the lock button is not on. Depending on the model, make sure the channels are not locked out in the menu. Make sure there are frequencies programmed in the channels. If these suggestions don't work, tell us more about the scanner like model number, how many channels, crystal or programmable, etc.

Got a uniden bearcat bc560 xlt police scanner comes on but no sound out of the external speaker or the other speaker what's wrong with it

It sounds like it is broken! Also, the squelch could be set too high, the speaker may be shot. You can rule out the speaker being shot by putting a set of headphones into the external speaker jack. If you hear something, even loud his, then the speaker is shot. Make sure that the squelch is turned all the way down.

Bc75xlt scannerfrequencies

Hi, Michael,Your best bet is the ACMA website, depending on where you live, i.e: state/postcode, you need this info plus frequency range that you're interested in before looking up their register of communications licenses.A cheap way of getting a basic knowledge of Australia wide frequencies is to go to ebay and bid for a copy of Scanner Fanatics frequency register, these are the same books that sold in DSE years ago. They are up-to-date as far as I know, but they are a good way to get started in scanning.RegardsPeter

I have a uniden atlantis 270. It receives well at 6 watts but only transmits for a distance of about 300 metres (even when using the 6w boost button. What ca I do to increase the transmit range?

I don't know what this radio is, but perhaps I can help. First of all, 6 watts is output power and has nothing to do with receiving. With such a short transmit distance, my first suspicion is something very wrong with the antenna. Has the SWR on the antenna been checked? Let's start from there.
