My laptop shuts down automatically.is there any
Possible but not likely. Sounds more like possibly overheating (sitting on unbreathable surface, fan(s) broken)...compromised power supply...battery bad (if running on battery). Check to see if fans are running. If fans are on the bottom of the unit make sure air can get to them. Try running on AC with battery out see if problem persists.
Hard to be sure without having possession of computer.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

HP DV6000 LAPTOP WON'T RECONIZE CD PLAYER
Try this fix, it usually does the trick....
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
- In the right pane, click UpperFilters.
Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 7.
- On the Edit menu, click Delete.
- When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
- In the right pane, click LowerFilters.
Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further. Go to the "Next Steps" section for information about how you can find more solutions or more help on the Microsoft Web site.
- On the Edit menu, click Delete.
- When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
- Exit Registry Editor.
- Restart the computer.
Built in webcam cannot detected by its software
Make sure the program that your using doesn't have the camera offline.
Then if the driver installed properly and you see the camera listed in the device manager then the next step would be to open up the LCD. You'll need to turn off the laptop.
Take the rubbers off of the lcd bezel then unscrew the screws out of there. Take off the lcd front bezel and this will expose the screen and also expose the built in webcam. Make sure the connector for the webcam is actually plugged in. You might have to reseat the connector or best thing is disconnect it and then reconnect it back.
Now go ahead and turn it on and use the webcam program and see if it works, if it still doesn't work then the built in webcam is bad.

Mouse pad does not move pointer on my acer 5515
Have you done anything that caused this to happen - reinstall Windows for example?
You probably need to re-install the touchpad drivers. Go to Acer support site and download and install touchpad drivers for your model.

Acer dark screen problem
your problem is a faulty ccfl BackLight Inverter, the display uses the backlight to illuminate the lcd screen, the inverter is used to illuminate the cold cathode light in the back of ther lcd theirs countless places to laern about it on google.
They are cheap to replace google your model with inverter at the end..
I cannot say how many I have replaced in Acer systems
I know for a FACT this is the problem. They are cheap inverters.
When you replace this one i would expect it to last longer :)
