My troy-bilt colt front tine rototiller won't start. Has gas, oil but nothing happens when you pull the cord. Choke and everything in right position.

Remove sediment bowl from carburetor, clean all junk from bowl, then clean vertical and horizontal orifices in bowl nut, carefully install bowl and make sure bowl gasket is in place.

My troy-built 4.0 hp rototiller runs only with the

Sounds like old gas was left in it. Varnish has occurred as such the needle and seat aren't working properly to meter the flow of gas. So try a couple of things before dismantling too much if you're not too mechanically inclined. Use Sea Foam or Gummout carb cleaner spray. Take off the breather and spay into the card and try to spay not directly into the engine but into the little tiny hole, you'll see. If you can take the float off (the bowl looking thing under the carburetor ) some have a nut some just screw on some have a wire spring that holds it up to the carb. Expose the float ( around donut looking thing) that will be attached to a needle that is what controls the fuel flow up into the carb. Spray with carb cleaner. Raise the float up and down to make sure it doesn't hang up. Just a little varnish from old gas can cause all this. re assemble . Note always use fuel treatment ALL YEAR LONG like (STA-BIL fuel stabilizer) in ALL your gas for lawn equipment and READ the mix directions don't just dump some mix it correctly. This should be your problem in the future. And USE NON-ALCOHOL FUEL! in your small engines it softens the rubber parts! Hope I helped Mike

Troy-bilt gas powered blower was running at full

If it's a two stroke and ran it with straight gas you would need a rebuild, then it's up to you to see the value of your blower and see if it is worth rebuilding..

Remove the cutting head spool and see if you have old grass stuck around the shaft area that could be causing to cease your shaft..

I have a Troy-bilt bronco with a kohler engine that is revving way too high.

Howdy, You're having trouble with your governor? Easiest way is to loosen that arm while it's on the little stub shaft. There is a flat spot on that little shaft. Push the arm all the way to the left-which will put the carburetor linkage in the full speed position. While holding the arm to the left, use a pair of slip joint pliers and twist the shaft all the way to the right. Then tighten the bolt on the bottom of the arm. The arm to the left, the stub shaft to the right. Hold he position and tighten. Should fix you up.

Troy-bilt snowblower smokes when I try to engage auger. It’s the belt burning, but do I simply just replace the belt or is it something else that’s causing the belt to burn?

How old is it? Model? Can you move the auger single stage or augers 2 stage by hand when in neutral. Could be a ice jamb. or bad bearing. Do this with the unit NOT running. If it's a 2 stage take a 2X4 and insert in the chute and try to wiggle or move the impeller. Bent impeller/auger? Maybe. check them visually. Hope this helps.

Selfpropelled portion stopped working, replaced broken belt, have correct p/n for new belt, belt is slack ,self propelled not working

There should be 3 pulleys one on the motor on top of the blade, one on the axle for the wheels and one that goes to your cable to engage that pully and tighten the belt, take the cover off that hides the axle and pull your handle for the self propell and see if its tighting, some mowers have a little adjuster to tighten the cable on the self propell handle or even on the cable itself, did you make sure to run the belt between the guides over the blade, let me know what you find so we can further help

My Troy-Bilt Squall 2100 over revs when I turn choke off, how can I stop it from over reving ?

There could be several different things to cause this, if it sounds like it is running wide open the first thing I would check if the butterfly on the carb, I have seen many cases where these come loose and lodge open in the intake. Please let me know if this is the case. Thank you. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/steve_f5a6ca85b5d1ffc9
