It sounds like the bulb is not sealed properly. That may also explain why it shut off after 20 secs. (sucking air and not getting enough gas). Fuel line or carb may be cracked or clogged. Or you may have accidentally reversed the fuel lines. Since it worked fine before you removed it, the problem most likely lies with the bulb, its gasket, its fuel line connections or the one-way valve beneath the bulb. Good luck

When was the last time you ran it Prior to this problem? When you rebuilt the Carb, did you pull out the plastic plug on the top of the carb? Many B&S carbs has a air plug up top that clogs. When gummed up, it causes surging. Did you clean all the tiny holes in the Jet and Emulsifier?

Shaft inside or clutch maybe bad, could be seized bearing in base of shaft under trimmer head

order a carb and replace it

wheather it's metric or standard, go with the next size biggerof the oppisite, metric go standard, vice versa useing a socket pound it on, or you can use a torx (star shape) socket

all the way in and back off 1 and 1/4 turns. this will get it so it will run and you can fine tune it.
