take the line of the carby and check the fuel flow first indicates that the carby is not filling ( jammed needle and seat) or the main jet is blocked

How old is the fuel in the tank and also look into the tank for water from condensation. If the gas is older than 2 months drain the tank and the carb bowel.

Clean the bowl under carb,theirs a nut at the bottom holding it ,pinch your gas line so gas won't come out.remove gas and reinstall.
