I just setup att. i have a motorola modem hooked

Hello, Qtsoccerstar - I believe with Direct TV (and with AT&T Uverse) one must use the company's receiver (which comes with a monthly rental fee.) Did you call Direct TV Technical Support and state your problem? This is the number to call: 800-531-5000 Technical Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week You will need to have your Direct TV account number and possibly another ID number handy for when you speak with a Technical Support Representative. If I misunderstood your question and if you have AT&T Uverse as your provider, this is the number to call: 800-288-2020 Technical Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week For AT&T Uverse you will need to have your account number and an ID number handy. We have AT&T Uverse for TV, telephone, and Internet service. I know that with AT&T Uverse one MUST have a company provided TV services receiver (which has a monthly rental free.) Best wishes.

Screen blacks out on KVM

I have had this happen to me a few times. Usually it is the video card/driver. By KVM I assume you mean a KVM switch that goes to both computers, so you can switch between them? I have had trouble with them, too, so try putting the VGA straight to the monitor and see.
