maybe the turning servo has come loose from cam or bottom of chassis, check with the body off

those glow plug batteries must charge for several hrs

engine has been run with fuel too lean, and ran too hard, engine rebuild or new engine is neccessary

if you cant turn the engine over with the pull starter, you have locked up the engine by running it too lean and hard, a rebuild is in your future

adjust slip clutch tension to reat wheels, but not too much as it will stall engine

i always gave mine half throttle for 2 pulls, attatched the glow plug batt, and bam, started right off next pull

tighten the tension on the slip clutch , but not too tight, as that will make the engine stall

loosen the tension on the slip clutch

first I would replace spark plug, I dont know how old your fuel is, but here are different types, some burn hotter, some cooler, but a gallon of that fuel does not stay good over long periods.

i had one of these, and it is easy to blow the motor, I was very careful when breaking it in when new, it really hauled, my friend also bought one, he was not so careful (wanted to race it right away) and he blew his engine, it started doing the same things you describe, he sold his to me, I rebuilt engime, it ran good as new until the day I sold it. you can purchase a new cylinder, crank, & piston at hobby town last I knew

Check your fuel tank cap, pressure must be released from there you need to change the o ring on the fuel cap.

Please check your battery and also check your glow plug wire it may be damaged .

Spin the rear wheels and make sure nothing such as a small stone is binding something up in the driveline. Check to make sure the motor has not gotten disconnected from the ESC. If you still have problems with it post again and I will try to look further into it.

Hi I am having problems with my 4x4 slash 1/10 scale
When I turn on the vxl-3 and that turns green but the traxxas link goes red for 3-4 sec then starts blinking red can anyone help please

push switch to turn on truck then Hold down the esc switch for approx ten seconds. You will hear a chime and then the led should change from either~ red to green ( Lipo mode) or from green to red ( Nimh mode)

Sounds like the high end needle might be too lean. Have you checked the engine temp while running. Traxxas engines usually like to run around 210-240 degrees.
