Likely the ignition switch is not rotating completely into the off position. If your key is extremely worn, it may be possible it can be removed without the switch exactly in the off position. Suggest trying a different (less used) key and see if problem goes away.

Else try to make sure it is in off position (clock off) before removing key. If you find that's the problem you may need new keys or switch or both.

Hi there,

The sound you hear, is it a whining, popping, grinding, scraping or rattling sound?
If you drive a manual transmission vehicle and notice a grinding noise, it can indicate the clutch gear is no longer disengaging correctly.

Manual locks or auto locks. You may need to take off the door panel to see the problem . Sometime a little lubricant can help them work. Check to see if power is getting to the lock motor.

Put card board or news paper under you car. Leave it over night. You first want to determine if you are leaking engine oil...Transmission fluid or Anti freeze...or power steering fluid also.
Check all of your dip stick levels and read your owners is always vital in finding leaks and types of fluid you maybe leaking. OIL is dark....Transmission is red and some power steering fluids are more clear/cleaner. Also Anti freeze is a greenish color and smells sweet like freshely cut wood chips. GOOD luck..always start with the basics.. One drop of fluid on news paper can make it swell up to about the size of a 50 cent piece.

It is doubtful that a fuse has caused the engine malfunction light to come on. The 3 fuses you described are for Body, Accessory, and Ignition.
I recommend either borrowing or purchasing a cheap OBD II code reader to determine the OBD error code as that is the only way to know what has caused the IML to turn on and properly diagnose/fix the issue. Good luck!
