Toshiba DVD recorder. What is E40 Error please?

Question edited for clarity and CapitalizatiON. Here is the definition of E40 from the manual: Some portion has not been recorded because of program overlapping. Recording did not start at the start time. This means that the programs are conflicting with each other. The start time and stop time, will actually start using the electronics before the start time, and after the stop time. That length of time is unknown to me, but it is not a malfunction. You will have to practice with it to find out how much overlap exists, and set your timer accordingly. and also I have one more suggestion for you. I have done this to resolve the E40 error in the past. There is no guarantee that it will solve the problem on your device, but it's worth trying. Before doing this, please note your scheduled recordings. This should not actually delete them, but I don't want to tell you that and then have them disappear. From the Setup mode, select general settings and then Reset All. Reset Factory Default? Yes to confirm and then press enter. ..

Toshiba lcd tv 22D1333B has no video/sound just flashing red/green power light?

it sounds like the issue may be with the AV MAIN board. The power board is providing the correct voltage to the board, but the board itself may be malfunctioning. It may be necessary to replace the AV MAIN board in order to resolve the issue with the TV not producing video or sound. It is also possible that the problem could be elsewhere, but the AV MAIN board would be a good place to start troubleshooting.

Toshiba printer: PCL XL error, Subsytem: xlparse, Error: Input Stream EOF, Operator: Parser, Position: 18

The PCL XL error you're seeing on your Toshiba printer typically occurs when the printer is unable to properly interpret a PCL XL datastream. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue: Check for printer firmware updates: Ensure that your Toshiba printer has the latest firmware updates installed. You can check the Toshiba website for available updates. Restart the printer: Sometimes simply restarting the printer can help clear up any temporary issues. Power off the printer, wait a few seconds, and then power it back on. Check the printer settings: Verify that the printer is set to use the correct paper size, paper type, and print quality settings for the print job. Check the printer driver: Ensure that the printer driver is properly installed and configured on the computer from which you're sending the print job. Try a different driver: If the issue persists, try using a different printer driver, such as a PostScript driver, to see if that resolves the issue. Check the print job: Verify that the print job doesn't contain any corrupt data or unsupported fonts or graphics. If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact Toshiba customer support for further assistance.

My Toshiba DLP Projection TV model number 44NHM84 will turn on but shuts off after 1-2 minutes. What do I need to do to fix this issue?

There are several reasons why your Toshiba DLP projection TV might be turning off after a few minutes. Here are some steps you can take to try and diagnose and fix the issue:
  1. Check the lamp: The most common reason for a DLP TV to shut off after a few minutes is a faulty lamp. Check the lamp to see if it's still functioning properly. If it appears to be damaged or has reached the end of its life (typically around 2000-3000 hours), replace it with a new one.
  2. Check for overheating: Overheating can also cause the TV to shut off. Check the fan to see if it's running properly and clean any dust or debris that may be blocking the airflow.
  3. Check for firmware updates: If the TV's firmware is outdated, it can cause it to shut off. Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates and install them if necessary.
  4. Check the power supply: A faulty power supply can also cause the TV to shut off. Check the power supply unit to see if it's functioning properly and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the color wheel: If the color wheel is damaged or not functioning properly, it can cause the TV to shut off. Check the color wheel for any damage or signs of wear and replace it if necessary.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it may be necessary to have a professional technician diagnose and repair the TV.

Hi, please power cycle your device and attempt to move forward. If error still persists, please alter the size of your paper to one that's appropriate for the printer or change the settings of the printer to allow for the paper size.
