• Check that the drive is properly installed in the computer.

If PXE Boot is enabled in BIOSTo check the BIOS option:

2. Go to the Boot menu and check for Boot to Network.
3. Press F10 to exit BIOS Setup.

If you do not plan to boot to a network, disable this option. If you do want to boot to a network, check that the network cable connection is working properly.

Sounds like your CPU and HeatSink needs a fresh coat of Thermal Paste on them. You'd have to take the laptop apart to do it. It's shortening out because the paste is dry and causing metal to touch metal and shortening out.

I doubt a Windows 8 driver will work in your case. I would use Windows 7 or 10. You may need to use a USB graphics adapter in place of the internal. Many USB video adapters are more useful for that sort of thing.

What version of windows?

You might have to go to Toshiba support and get a BIOS Flash to update for your BIOS. Win XP is no longer supported, therefore you may need to go to Windows 10.

The message regards PXE is stating that the BIOS can not use the hard drive as first boot device, therefore either the BIOS setting is wrong or the hard drive is toast.
I can not see that disassembling will help your situation, seems a bit extreme..

Something wrong with your southbridge or you can call it your GPU. You need to bring it to a service center.

Satellites are notorious for video hardware failure. I have one, and it does the same thing. Usually, when I move the lid during bootup, the screen comes on. But the problem lies in the video chip itself - the Satellites tend to overheat, causing the video chip to become unseated. Google it, you will see what I'm talking about. Type in, satellite p205 video problem or something. Good luck.

Try a reset... 1. Remove battery, and disconnect mains adapter. 2. Press and hold down power ON button for 30secs at least. 3. Put the battery back. 4. Plug in mains adapter then Power ON as normal.

I would suggest a factory restore to fix the problem. If you have data on the computer that needs saving then do this first, if unable to do this then take to a computer shop to have it done for you.

Hi, So sad to see this problem. I had M30 also and truly nice and reliable computer. For the safety of your data and computer would you please don't plug in your leaked adaptor. Based on your explanation above your adaptor had a leaked transformer inside it, so you could hear a strange sound from it. This cause by dropping your adaptor frequently. For the solution of this problems bring your laptop to a service center or authorize service and ask them about this leaked but when you want a short solution just replace your adaptor and it can solve your problem but remember to use the original adaptor because I believe you don't want to blow your laptop.

Search eBay for windows XP. Buy a copy that comes with a CD key and install. You might try a copy that says it will just reinstall using your existing *********** if you know it. You can use Keyfinder by Magic jellybean to find the existing key and write it down KeyFinder Magical Jelly Bean
