I have a Tefal Protect GV9110 iron. Please please help me. It is not generating any steam. when press the steam button on the iron, it cuts off. if i leave it for a while, sometimes it generates steam

You probably have a mineral buildup in the iron which is blocking the water flow. Try putting a cup of white vinegar in it and run it through over the sink on the high steam setting and then the self clean setting. After you run the vinegar through, run two cups of plain water through to get the remnants of the vinegar out.

Steam generator iron doesn't heat up but power light on?

many of the new irons must be in the upright position to heat up. If in the flat position they assume you are not paying attention to it and the safety switch turns off power to the element.

The iron of my steam generator does not heat up

I had the same problem. You need to disassemble the iron itself. From memory there are two torx screws near the cable entry and there is also one under the coloured part on the handle at the switch. Yo need to take off the cover to get to it. Once you get the iron apart you need to get to the base element. On the top of it is a bimetallic switch element. I discovered that I had some carbon build up between the contact points of the switch. I cleaned these (no need to remove) with some contact cleaner and rubbed lightly with fine grade sandpaper. Reassembled and has been working fine since
