You may have overfilled the oil base. Make sure the unit is sitting level then measure the oil. The oil does go into the same tube as the dipstick.

Setting the distance between the coil and the flywheel

There is usually 1 to 3 screws that loosen and the coil moves in and out. You set it with a feeler gauge. Some of them have to be set on both sides. Before trying to start slowly turn the engine over by hand to ensure nothing is hitting

How do I remove the shredder/mulched impeller from my Tecumseh 5hp OHH50 engine powered chipper/shredder?

tapers break easily when the taper is distorted momentarily leave the bolt in place unscrewed about 1/8 inch place a bearing puller under the boss and apply pressure to the head of the bolt using to heavy hammers , place the head on one side of the boss and hit hard on the other side of the boss this will release the taper and it will jump to the head of the bolt remove the bolt If there is a key in the taper as well then the problem becomes different as you may have to apply heat to the boss to distort the taper and break the rust bond on the key

Is it hard to change a magneto on a 5.5 hp Tecumseh engine?

How old is the gas in the tank? If it is older than 2 months drain it out and put in fresh gas and try again. Have you seen spark jump across the spark plug gap? To check for spark I use a spark checker. One end goes to the plug and the other to the spark plug lead. If you have spark you see a light flash which is more easy to see.

It wont start in the cold

Not an uncommon problem. Usually it is the fuel. By far the easiest approach is to start it in a warm place, then run it until it is out of fuel, then refill it with fresh fuel that is clean and has not been stored for more than a couple of weeks. When I have the choke fully on, the engine in my snowblower runs. When I take it off choke, it sputters and stops. The fuel line is clear and there is no fuel filter that I can find.

The mixture settings on the carburetor may be off. Cleaning the carburetor and having the mixture settings adjusted may help. The fuel delivery is not an issue since choking increases the fuel/air ratio, i.e. adds more fuel for the same amount of air. Also worth checking the seals on the intake components, since excess air could be leaking in after the carburetor.

Need new air filter for

You can look up the air filter with the model number and order it over the internet from a website such as partstree.com, but there are others. Or, you can get the model number and go to your local small engine repair and parts shop. Mine had it on the shelf. If your chipper/shredder is like my 8 HP Craftsman with a Tecumseh engine, then as you are looking at the engine, look on the left side of the shroud or cover and way down low on the curved portion is a label with the model number on it.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Need replacement spark plug for 4.5 hp Tecumseh;

In my shop, I use Autolite brand plugs. Your engine would have come originally with a #255 or equivilent. Most shops will upgrade that plug to a #458. It is slightly hotter and gives a more efficient burn. You can also use a Champion J19LM or an NGK B4LM.
Good luck!

E11 CA2249 Rail Press Very Low Error ENG Electrical I'd guess that if there's no leakage or power loss then it's most likely a fault in the sensor.

G6 Error code for a Raymond Electric Fork Lift model number EASI-R35TT?

The G6 error code on your Raymond Electric Fork Lift model EASI-R35TT indicates a specific issue. Let's break it down: F5 Code: The F5 code typically points to an internal VFC (Variable Frequency Controller) fault. This component is crucial for controlling the motor speed and other functions. If the VFC is malfunctioning, it can trigger the F5 error. 6G Code: The 6G code signifies an overtemperature condition related to the lift motor. It indicates that the motor has exceeded safe operating temperatures. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and address the issue: Check Grounds: Ensure that all electrical connections and grounds are secure. Sometimes, a loose or faulty ground can cause unexpected errors. Battery Inspection: Although you mentioned the battery is at 72%, it's essential to thoroughly inspect it. Make sure the battery terminals are clean, and there are no signs of corrosion. A weak battery can lead to various issues. VFC and Display Verification: Verify that the VFC (Variable Frequency Controller) and the display match the original configuration for this specific truck. If there have been any replacements or swaps, it could affect the error codes. The display holds critical information about the truck's options and settings. Thermistor and Load Weight: You mentioned that the truck attempts to read load weight even though there's no pressure transducer installed. The 6G code relates to a thermistor (temperature sensor), which might be falsely triggering. Check the thermistor circuit and ensure it's functioning correctly. Remember that diagnosing forklift issues can be complex, and professional assistance may be necessary. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to a certified technician or the manufacturer for further guidance. Good luck with resolving the issue, and may your forklift be back in smooth operation soon!

Why is my GX160 hard to pull start?

Possibly it overheated with the strain and has partially seized. Put a few drops of light engine oil ointo the cylinder and if that helps with the tightness, look for another engine or a rebuild.
