According to the manual the error means the Source Disc is not ready to be read. This could be caused by several things - the first being an issue with the source disc. Have you verified the disc is readable in another machine?

The other cause could be a hardware issue. The source disc drive may have failed or may not be reading the disc correctly. You can test this by setting the burner (or Target Drive) to also be the source drive. To change the source drive select menu option 8 and then select the DVD writer. With the writer also acting as the source you should be able to verify if it's the disc or the drive that's causing the issue.

Another option is to allow the unit to run a hardware diagnostic to see if the machine is experience any internal errors. To run the diagnostic you'll need to enter Advanced Setup (Hold ESC for 2 seconds) and then arrow down to option 12.9 H/W Diagnostics. Hit enter and allow it to run. It should report any errors with the machine.

This will all depend on the age of the equipment and what connectors are on each one. Could you post photos of the panels on them showing what connector ports are actually there. How old is the reel to reel? The really early 1970's models will probably not work or will need specialist cable adapters to get it to connect to the Kenwood and even then it may not work. The 80's and some of the 90's ones used Component, Phono or Jack Plug connectors. The really modern ones use Optical cables. In general it usually sets up by connecting to the "OUT" port on the reel to reel and the matching "IN" port on the Kenwood.

I don't quite understand when you said "I've lost my sim card, how to get my PUK Code?", PUK code is specific for every sim cards, so if you have lost that sim card which was blocked, I don't think you will ever need the PUK code for that sim card. But if you mean that your sim card is blocked and you are being asked for PUK Code, please follow the instructions given HERE. This is one of my "how to's" about PUK Code issue.

There are several things that you can try. Move the carriage for the laser diode to the center area, Put a disk in and note where the label is and then eject it to see if it is spinning, check the voltage on the laser diode. This will give you an idea of what the issue is.

u can get your puk code from your service provider
PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile.
