How do I fix TDK NX-4cd having no volume?

If your TDK NX-4CD has no volume and the CD door does not open, here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
  1. Check the mute function: Make sure the unit is not set to mute. Look for a dedicated mute button on the unit or on the remote control and ensure it is not activated. If there is no dedicated mute button, check the volume controls and settings to ensure they are not turned all the way down or set to minimum levels.
  2. Reset the system: Perform a system reset by disconnecting the power source from the TDK NX-4CD. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and leave it unplugged for at least 10-15 minutes. This will allow the unit to fully power down and reset. After the waiting period, plug the power cord back in and test if the volume issue is resolved.
  3. Check the speaker connections: Ensure that the speaker wires are securely connected to the appropriate terminals on the back of the unit. Sometimes loose or disconnected speaker wires can result in no sound. Additionally, check for any visible damage to the speaker wires and repair or replace them if necessary.
  4. Clean the CD player mechanism: If the CD door does not open when pressing the Open button, it could be due to a mechanical issue. Gently clean the CD player mechanism using compressed air or a soft cloth to remove any dust or debris that may be obstructing the door's movement. Be careful not to force the door open to avoid causing further damage.
  5. Seek professional repair: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may indicate a more significant problem with the internal components of the TDK NX-4CD. In such cases, it is advisable to contact a professional audio equipment repair service or contact TDK customer support for further assistance. They will have the expertise and specialized tools to diagnose and repair the specific issues with your unit.
It's important to note that attempting any repairs or disassembling the unit yourself may void any existing warranty and could potentially cause further damage. Therefore, if you are not comfortable with electronics repair, it is best to seek professional assistance.

How to turn on tdk life on record

Hold down the A33 and AUX button together for 5 seconds. The A33 should flash the volume LEDs and then reset and turn off. Let the speakers remain off for 10 seconds before turning it back on. The unit powers on in the AUX mode and you should be able to press Bluetooth and pair the unit with your device.

My TDK st100 Head phones have no Sound in the left headphone

MMMmm, bummer. The earphone CABLES look rather small and vulnerable? IF you move the CABLE NEAR the connecter do you hear any sound? How about up at the earphones themselves? If you wiggle the cable are there any sounds? There HAS to be a 'open circuit' somewhere? Maybe the volume was set too high and the LEFT earphone happened to blow out? And perhaps it's time to treat yourself to a NEW headset with a MUCH better and substantial connecting cable? Anthony

My TDK 5900 CD recorder will not read CD-R 52x discs. Is there a software/firmware upgrade that will correct this?

The CD-R audio is not an obsolete format. Here's one set of writable discs from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-50CRM80RS-Audio-50-Pack-Spindle/dp/B0002ZDIKW/179-2088873-7802310?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0 . It is not the cheapest CD format, but they are out there. Amazon lists several other brands of CD-R Audio. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Tdk cd player stereo system stuck on standby. the red standby light is on the only thing I have done since it was last working yester day is remove and reinsert the speakers from the unit.

Try resetting by leaving disconnected completely from the mains for 2mins. Throughout this time frame keep your finger pressed on the power/standby button.

I took apart a TDK Video Cassette, and I can't put it back together! I have two small metal cylinders left over, and can't for the life of me figure out where they should go! Please Help!! Thank you

The two metal cylinders are guide rollers where the tape goes in and out of the cassette. If you pick up any VHS tape and press the little button that allows the flap to come up, you should see them.

My desktop PC XP OS can detect TDK FDD-100 external floppy drive ,but cannot read files inside. How can I solve my problem?

The disc may be corrupted :( In most cases external floppy drives work just fine but the disc they are reading is old. Shelf life of floppies is really only 3 to 5 years. After that you really can't trust that you'll be able to read them. I've had discs up to 10 years old that I can still read, but others that are only a couple years old I can't. Try plugging the floppy into another PC to see if that one can read it. Recommend trying it on a newer PC (Windows 7 or 8)
