How is the action adjusted on a Taylor? It seems that Taylor does not recommend sanding the saddle to lower the height at the 12th fret.

Refer to the link, you can absolutely sand or file the bottom of the saddle, or even the top if you know what you are doing. I am a professional luthier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DpLRfbv9ok

Taylor guitar # 20060531157 is made in US?

The 2 Taylor factories, in El Cajon CA, and in Tecate Mex., are quite close, and before 2008 it seems that pieces of the one guitar were made in both places. Yours was made in May 2006, and that is the most likely scenario for it. Mexican made Taylors are apparently considered to be just as good as US made Taylors. I have seen it reported that from 2008, more production was done in Tecate, and a guitar made there completely should have 'Made in Mexico' visible somewhere on it or deep inside.

I've only had my 714ce for about 5 weeks. I've used it for 4 shows and during my last show I experienced a volume drop. I unplugged the jack, plugged it back in and it was fine for a bit, bu

It's most likely the battery isn't producing enough voltage, though it may have been adequate for your other guitar. However, you should discuss the issue asap with your dealer and/or Taylor support. https://www.taylorguitars.com/support Support

Try doing an online search for that guitar and check results for current listings others are offering them for. Check eBay too for similar info. This can be done to get a rough idea, but the actual condition of yours will affect value.

Pick up cutting out on guitar

If you've tried different leads and the problem still exists, then the problem is probably in the guitar; could be a a bad pickup, or bad tone control, or loose wire on the jack. I suggest you have it looked at by a reputable music shop that does repair work.

Guitar taylor 314

string like you would a right hand guitar for a right hand player so when you face a right handed player, it appears to both of you that you are sort of looking in a mirror. It makes it easier to learn that way too.

More likely a failed selector switch. Try working it back and forth a few dozen times. Contact cleaner may be tried too, squirting in the back of the switch.

Automatic batery charger

What does a battery charger have to do with a guitar? I hope you are NOT using rechargeable batteries in your guitar. They have very limited life in a guitar since they start out at a much lower voltage.

Recently purchased a taylor 214ce.

Replace the battery. Batteries tend to recover and then go down again when they get weak. Use GOOD alkaline batteries NEVER rechargeable types.
