My taylor thermometer model thr138 shows the inside temperature, but the outside temp just shows a series of dashes...all batteries have been changed, anything else to check?

Taylor Wireless 1542 remote batteries how to install

Remove the 4 small phillips head screws on the battery cover and it lifts off.When you replace the cover make sure the gasket (black rubber) is in it's groove.

I have a Taylor 2750(R) Rain Guage and can not

I copied the following text from the users manual.The receiver unit is factory set to diplay total rainfall in inches. To switch measurement to millimeters, press and hold the "-" butto for 3 seconds. The display will switch to mllimeters.The trick also works to switch from mm to in.
