check for defective regulator at the power supply section and shorted horizontal section. if you don't have an idea how to trouble shot this unit i suggest to leave it to a trained tv repairman to fix the problem. atleast you have an idea what to expect when you hire somebody to do the job good luck.
Where is the IR on a Symphonic TV?
You are asking about the infrared sensor position, I assumes, and posts this solution. The infrared sensor can be located just behind the infrared sensor window at the front panel of the TV. You have to open the TV and take out the front panel control board out to access it. It is a three terminal component, can be bought from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town, and won't cost more. It will look like this.

How do I set the aspect ratio on a Symphonic WF20L6
There is no aspect ratio adjustment can be seen in the user manual of your TV. Try change the aspect ratio of the picture by PC. If you are interested to get a copy of the user manual to your TV, send your email address to me, and get a copy of it by return mail.

How to switch TV to cable
If your TV has a Menu button on its front panel, you can enter its menu options, surf through, and come to input selection window. Here you can select the inputs. If there is no such Menu button, you must have its remote control to select it.
