Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage series
I hope this helps. I found on mine that the rear screw on the "neck" had become slighty loosecousing the release to not fully disingage. I had to remove the dome shaped cap in the middle of the speed control knob, pops off fairly easy, to gain access to the nut to tighten it. Hard part was trying to hold the screw head still while I used a small screw driver and small hammer to tap the nut tight, very limited space between the "neck" and motor body.

How to obtain parts under warranty
The normal procedure would be to take the appliance to a local Authorised Service Agent and get them to assess the problem. They will then obtain the parts for you if it is deemed to be a manufacturer fault.

Sunbeam mixer only runs 5 sec and stops. Same on all speeds.
that is timer/capacitor... if under warranty - get it replaced, otherwise - you are ready for new one...
as you did not give type and model, i cannot even "questimate" if it is worth repairing or throw it directly to the rubbish bin, do not collect $200.00 just pay them...
general rule is that below $50.00 do not bother repair...
hope this short info will help you - do not forget to vote...
