I can't solve this problem, but mine just died doing the very same thing. Motor is running, the revolving base is turning, and the beaters are just sitting there. Ruined an entire batch of divinity!

the fix could be simple but unless you can get it looked at for free, junk it

On a tag on the bottom or at the back.

Problem with speed control device. Check switch for continuity with various speed settings.

take it in to an appliance repair shop for a diagnosis generally if the motor over heats , it burns the field windings and the fix is a new motor the motor and repair cost is close to a new unit but you will get that information when you get the diagnosis and quote

Some lubrication might be in order. Grease will dry out and cake so it won't lubricate what it's meant to.

Remove the battery from the mixer and locate the number on it, go to eBay and input that number.

A broken part ? or is only the potentiometer of the speed control thats damaged, but a wire that is broken ? without any force is hard to believe the spring element internally that moves along the carbon track of the potentiometer inbetween the speed control should have lost the contact pressure or only dirthy ?. where the resist for rpm mixing is lost. maybe marketing technical made to order it as a one-part assembly try contactspray in the potentiometer.

To disassemble a sunbeam mixmaster 2370, find four plastic snappers arranged at 1, 5, 7 and 11 o'clock around the front circle of vents. They can be seen with the help of a good flashlight. un-snap them and the top and bottom shells will separate. From there on, it is clips and screws. Good luck!
