Can't turn my External Hard Disc Drive off.
The HDD will spin up and may stay on for as long as the computer is connected depending on how the computer bios is set up.
I set mine to switch off 10 minutes after no activity. That gives the HDD time to write to it and check itself.
Sumvision cyclone mkv 2 enclosure will not conect
From this and several other posts you made on this device (I assume you are the same Anonymous poster), it appears you do not have a formatted hard drive installed in the unit, or you didn't know the computer is treating it as an external drive (even if it calls it an "unknown" USB device. Your computer is looking for the file system in the enclosure. The directions for finding the unit from a Windows computer (written for the mkv, not the mkv 2, but they would probably work the same) are given in the review article linked below. Note: if you don't find any "Unallocated" disk, look in "My Computer" for a drive that isn't your internal hard drive or other usual device. Probably all you have to do is save your media files to this drive and they will be available to play on your A/V system.

I have installed the driver disc into my Desktop
With the player connected and turned on, open the file explorer window (sometimes named "My Computer" or simply "Files"), or look at your desktop for an icon for the player. Given that no mention is made of automatically opening a program for the player, it most likely looks to the computer like just another flash memory stick or disk drive.
