Probably not a fuse as many manufactures do not include them into the build this problem is most likely the back light that illuminates the screen giving it the brightness that we need to see the image and yes they can be replaced but it would not rate as a simple job because you need to dissemble the entire screen and unless it is a very large good quality screen most people would just replace it. There are a few tests you can do to see if you can at least identify the problem before replacing the screen and that is making sure that the issue is not in the PC itself to test this you will need to hook up the PC to a TV or a different screen ,most Laptops and PC s have a option to hook up extra screens etc so you need to use this method to test out your machine , second if you turn on your system and wait for the normal amount of time that it takes for your screen to work and look at your screen in a darkened room and hold it at various different angels to see if you can see a very slight image of what is on your screen and if you can see any sort of printed information this will mean that your screens back light has failed .
We tried taking the battery out, running the monitor on a/c power only, and deleting then resyncing the camera. None worked. Finally I just ended up calling the summer infant customer service line. They told me that the unit had to be replaced.
