YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE HUB ASSEMBLY APART AND REMOVE THE ALLEN BOLTS. I THINK THEY ARE FIVE MM. THEN INSTALL THE NEW ONE AND REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARING AND PRESS IT BACK TOGETHER AND INSTALL BACK ON THE CAR.

open the trunk manually and look at the latch the should be a lock out tab that's probably pushed down. push it up and it will work.

Does the alternator check light light up when you turn the ignition on? If not the connection from the dash board to the alternator is not there for what ever reason, might be the wiring loom of the bulb, or the alternator it self. If this all works its worth to check Ground between alternator and battery, should be around 0 Ohm, and check also the B+ wire from the back of the alternator to + terminal of the battery, this should be also 0Ohm.

Most Subaru's have the cooling sensor in the coolant connection pipe that runs under the intake manifold and connects the LH and RH engine cooling galleries. There are different colour sensors, what meant they have a different resistance to meet the temperture gauge, make sure you fit the same colour.

Get your head gasket tested, with eider compressed air or so called a TK test. Subaru head gaskets can start leaking without having straight away big water losses. And get also your radiator cap checked/ tested .

You can purchase a harness adapter that will plug into the original radios harness. The other end of the adapter harness has loose wires with tinned ends which you connect to the new radio's harness, which as the same colors as the adapter wires.

It should open with the key even if the cable won't. Does the lever have the same feel to it or does it seem like it isn't connected any more?

Torque converter has to click twice while turning it to sit in position.

I am not sure if it may bolt up but if the transmission came from a smaller engine I wouldn't advise because it will be a weaker unit. JMHO
