What code was on the computer? That could tell you what caused the problem. If it was a p0300-p0304 code that could mean a piece of carbon grounded a spark plug causing the miss and then burnt off.

The reason being most foreign car motors are interference engines meaning that when the belt brakes and the open valves stay open they do no clear the pistons when the pistons are all the way up and will do damage to the piston and valve. American engines are noninterference meaning they do not touch if the timing belt brakes.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.
for this u can try reliable-store which is pretty good

Yes but you have no anti lock brake system (ABS), it has been disabled. Get the system scanned for the fault that caused the light

The remote buttons are internally soldered on to a circuit board, and with use, the solder joints break. Find a tech person in your area with a very small tip (ask if they have a pcb rework kit) who can fix the solder joint. If the remote now works, great! If not, look on Amazon for a suitable replacement. Read your owners manual on the process to add a new remote to your car.

The usual reason is the window motor bushes have worn out. Look on Amazon for a new Window Regulator kit that includes the window motor. This is FAR easier to install than pulling the kit out to replace the motor. I did this job on my 2005 recently, and it was necessary to cut up the regulator frame (messy job) to get the window glass out. This is NOT an issue if the glass is already up. If its stuck down, the cut-up job is required. If this job sounds beyond your mechanical skills, take it to a garage. The job takes about 3 hours.

Start with the simple stuff: is the exhaust system fully supported?
Harder stuff: check for ...
* loose rear suspension components (unlikely)
* prop shaft U-joint wear (also unlikely)
* rear transmission support blocks

Hmmm, interesting question. Physically, both engines are the same size, and will bolt up to the transmission. However, the B-I-G issue will be the compatibility of the ancillaries (exhaust, intakes, fuel lines, hoses and esspecially the wiring harnesses. You can expect the ECU to be different and has to go with the 2017 engine. Doing a swap like this requires having the schematics of the 2011 and 2017, and checking for differences. The various sensors may look, and may be, the same, but likely not.

One way round this issue is to fit the 2011 intakes and on-engine wiring harnesses on to the 2017. This will (or MAY) solve the main compatibility issues. Either way, it's not a "stick it in and see if it works" job. Do the homework before you spend too much money and time.

The entire electrical system should be checked. The battery could be in need of replacement as well as the alternator.

Sorry for late response.. like months !
well hope you were able to suvive this situation

an item for water pump replacement is resetting timing belt which also inches a hydraulic tensioner... just double that that happened otherwise the markets which may have appeared lined up are not when under tension and running

if you are going to redo this operation please use new components parts ... google deluxe timing belt replacement and there will be the package list which includes sprockets, tensioner, etc... it is worth to replace as a set. Even if you are going to it forward to the next Subie family member.

Driver side at knee level there is a push button for crash avoidance response ....looks like head on crash.

press and hold for 2-5 seconds until the light on instrument cluster comes "on" indicating that this feature is now turned "off"

this is will disable the response to road irregularities

it is a toggle , so you can press and hold to reverse the setting OR next time ignition is cycled it will default back to "on"

good luck !

"Now my parking lights on both sides will not shut off"
Yep, that's the low power parking lights. You've bumped the switch on the top of the steering column. <grin>

Just turn it off !
