How much did you spend in the watch? I could cost ~$100 to fix. Might be better to just replace it. I would take it back to the guy that replaced the battery and ask him to try another battery, maybe you just got a dud.

Most likely a CR2032 Lithium, the how part is take off the back, remove the battery holder and old battery. Observe the polarity so you put the new one in correctly. You may need to do a reset which is very difficult to try and tell you what to do but none the less may need to be done. Put everything back making sure the gaskets are aligned properly. You will probably need a very small phillips screwdriver. This is actually my second recommendation. My first is take it to a watchmaker that does hundreds of these every year.
