Resetting LL500 SPECTRA PRECISION LAZER
If you mean you cant level the laser, there are 3 T15 torx screws that hold the base assy into the laser, accessible through 3 holes in the base plate. Unscrew the three screws and remove the base, and disassemble it, clean all the dirt out and relubricate the base with a heavy silicone lube. Reassemble and it should all move smoothly.

Why is the Green light not blinking?
Do a peg test, if the unit is leveling and accurate, then it's just the green diode has malfunctioned, dont worry about it, it happens.
If the peg test fails, then either the keypad board has failed, or a motor may be jammed. Or possibly the laydown switch has is stuck, and the laser things it's perminatly in vertical mode, and wont level. Take it to a laser/survey shop as the front label will have to be replaced just to open it, to diagnose.

My spectra hv101 rotates but
First be sure to check the obvious such as batteries and cleaning the battery connection points. If that doesn't do it, try freezing the instrument by placing it in a deep freeze for at least 45 minutes. I had two non functioning laser diodes on my 5 point Stanley Laser and for some unknown (to me) reason it worked like a charm.
How to calibrate spectra precision ll500 laser
There are two brass screws under the upper most metal plate. They are the calibration adjustment screws. The manual tells you how to do a peg test. If your peg test is out, move the corresponding screw until you reach the calibration point you want.

Laser won't turn on.
Could be alot of things. Bad batteries, bad battery contacts. Dead main board, dead compensator.
Clean the battery contacts with acetone and a qtip. in the battery compartment and on the battery door, and install fresh batteries. Good ones, Duracell preferably. If it still wont turn on, you'll need to take it somewhere. Trimble, in their grand wisdom made it so you have to remove the decal on the front, to open the laser. So, that will need replacement even if nothing else does.

The off level light doesn't turn off therefore
Your vial and compensator no longer match up. Move the foot screws until you can get your laser to spin, then adjust your leveling vial until it reads level again, using the 3 screws holding the vial inplace.

Spectra ll400 laser does not rotate when power is on
There was a problem with the LL400/GL4X2's where the system would level, but not rotate. It is usually intermittent. There's an op amp on the keypad board that sends the power to the head motor. This component fails, and the board has to be replaced. It can be pricey if it's out of warranty.
There are a couple other things that it could be, as well. Like the screws holding the motor in place have come out and the motor is no longer in contact with the rotating head. Or something in the head gears. But usually the keypad

My beam on laser not very visible and being picked
Does changing the battery make a difference in the signal strength? With my Dewalt, I have to change batteries frequently and also clean the battery connections with a soft eraser to keep a strong beam.
One of the reasons, I went with the Dewalt versus the Spectra, I was told that battery life was better in the Dewalt.

Setting up duel slope laser
Put the instrument on a tripod, and line up the gun sights on top of the laser, in the direction you want the slope to be. figure out which axis your in (based on the filled in or empty wedge on the side of the laser above the glass) and then press the up or down arrow for the corresponding display screen on the keypad. Hold up or down until you've reached the percent grade you want.

Lazer motor doesnt rotate
These are belt driven rotating heads. While the 500 series have the most robust belt in all the laser industry, they still break. Likely this is the cause. Or the connector has come off the board, it's odd, but it happens.
