You can set themes by following the step by step procedure mentioned below :
First you need to connect to Android market by WAP .You need to connect to android market through your google account .
You need to tap menu and go to settings and tap account and sync and tghere add your google account .
1.Tap the menu button on the bottom-left of the screen

2. Tap the Market option on the screen.

3.Select the Themes option in the Android marketplace.

4.Click Download next to any theme you want to download from android marketplace .

5.Tap More and Exit WAP once the download is complete.

6. Tap the Menu button.

7.Tap File Manager and then Themes.

8.Select the theme you want to install.

ok my guess is that ur boyfriend has deleted the phone memory using the master reset umm on the left side there is a plastic slip flip it open and u have a memory card in there (depends how much the phone was (if it was cheep it wont) u should of got a little gray and blue card thing put ur memory card in the gray and blue card and if u have a card reader put it in the part where u put ur SD card in and it should come up as phone card i recommend not 2 use the cord because it is stupid

I found an easy step by step to do this.

1. Connect the USB cable to the computer and the phone.
2. In the phone: When you attach the USB cable to the phone, a USB connection window appears, Select File transfer.
3. On the computer: Open My Computer and your phone will be visible as a removable disk.
4. Double-click the removable disk.
5. Here you will find specific folders (depending on your phone model) where your pictures are stored.
6. Drag and drop or copy and paste the picture from this folder to a folder on your computer.
7. Disconnect the phone from the USB cable.

The picture is now transferred to your computer.

the reason is your phone is network unlocked, so u got to unlock it to use it with other networks, try unlocking it using unlock code from http://www.wickedunlock.com/
