Ps3 system update error 8002F310
1. Download the update onto a USB stick using your pc. (Hopefully you have one). Create a new folder named UPDATE and drag the file into it. Then create a folder called PS3 and drag the 'UPDATE' folder into that. Note the folders must be in capitals.....
2. Underneath your console is a small panel near the front that pops open to reveal a small screw. Unscrew it and then remove a bigger panel on the actually front of the console to reveal the hard drive. It has a wire handle that will help you remove the hard drive. (Don't take it out yet)
3. Turn your console on and when the update loop begins take the hard drive out. After a minute or so it will realise this has happened and a error message will appear and a 60 second countdown will start. Let this time countdown and allow the console to restart. ( a post a read on a forum said that the console will restart on a screen that will allow you to download the update via USB but is did not happen for me and the system said it was unable to start because it could not detect a hard drive.)
4. Turn the console totally off and insert the hard drive. Turn it back on and as it is beginning to start carefully take the hard drive back out. Then a screen will hopefully appear that says to connect your controller to the USB wire and press the ps button. Do this and then it will give you the option to update via USB. Insert your USB drive and press start and select on your controller.
5. Then comes a step that I can't really explain and is the trial and error part of the process. When the system is searching for the USB update I inserted the hard drive. On the first try it didn't find the update and a error message appeared, but as I tried the whole process again it found the update and completely the process. I didn't lose any saves and more importantly, didn't pay a penny!!
PS3
Unfortunately not, as it stands the only thing the PS3 is region free on is the games. All regional BD and DVD are locked to your region. Even if there was a hack to play region 1 dvd's on a region 2 ps3, sony would patch it up as soon as it was made puclic.
However you could use region free dvd's which will work on the PS3. There is plenty of software for PC which will copy your existing DVD's and remove the region lock. However, I am not sure on the legalities of it.
PS3
You don't need to do anything. You can take a DVD from any region and it will play. Region Free is set in the PS3 software base.
Do ps3 play region 1 dvds
it depends on which region you bought the ps3 in. region 1 is north/central/south america canada japan new zealand australia and south korea
How do I change the zone on my Soniq E32W13D-AU?
You should have got a red card with the AU and NZ customer support numbers on it. If you phone them, they will tell you how to unblock the player to make it region free.
On the Soniq QV191LC TV and DVD player, you follow these steps. It may work for your model but if it doesn't, try the support line.
1. Switch on
2. Switch to DVD mode (use Source button on remote)
3. Select DVD setup menu (press DVD button on remote)
4. Select Preferences page (use > key on remote)
5. Press '0' key 4 times on remote: the Region Code menu will appear
6. Use up and down on remote to select region (0 of course)
7. Press exit button.
You should now be region free.
Try these numbers:
AU 1300 765 663 / (61) 3 9543 5111
NZ (64) 9 2667512

Baught my PS3 in the sates dont wanna play south
Please go through the booklet provided with your PS3. It will show you what type of DVDs it can play. Make sure that the South African DVDs you are playing are compatible with the one listed in the booklet. Best is to play Blue ray DVD which are slightly expansive but are regional code free. They can be played on PS3 without any hitch.
I have a sony blu ray player that I cant get to work with net flix
You need to go online via PC or laptop or tablet to register your device.it must be using the same router.once your device is connected at the sane time as your registered device you can enter the code into the blueray or screen on device.this will allow the blueray to run via internet.I think I am right in saying earlier sony bluerays from Europe/Uk do not run netflix only amazon. The American ones do.
I just bought Weeds season
Yes you can change the region code on your Ps3.
1.) Go to BD / DVD Parental Control Region Code (don't ask me why its under parental control)
2.) Change the region code from United States to "Other". If it asks for specific check online to see what region the DVD's are from.
My ps3 does not want to play blue ray dvd?
You'll have to update the system software for your PS3 for it to play blu-ray movies.
You can read about it here:
http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/2_60/video/aacs.html
On that page click on where it says "update the system software" and then on the next page it will explain the different ways you can upgrade the software.
How do i turn the playback option off
That sounds like an issue with Cinavia copyright protection and if the movies were not downloaded from a legitimate source the issue will continue and cannot be avoided. The only option you may have is to play the movies on another device such as an Xbox 360, chromecast, rocku, or other media player device.
PS2 wont play DVD movies!
Hi. It seems that you might have an old version of the PS2.
The original PS2's had a problem with the laser that read CDs and DVDs, often failing, creating problems with reading DVDs and in rare cases, CDs.
Unfortunately, the class action lawsuit filed against Sony is too old to get yours fixed for free, but there are ways to attempt to fix the laser yourself, if you would rather not send it in to Sony.

Blu ray up date
PS3 has a AACS (Advanced Access Control System) is a
copyright-protection technology that is used on Blu-ray Discs. The
copyrighted content is protected by setting an encryption key on both
the disc and the device used to play the disc.
An AACS
encryption key expires in 12 to 18 months and must be renewed, so no
matter if you have a new PS3 or using it already make sure you keep
upgrading your PS3 firmware regularly.
There are two ways to update as listed below:
