Hi, Ref common problem with Blu-ray players only playing crank 2 in a small section of the screen. It seems the film needs extra buffer memory on your player. If you have a card reader slot, ie USB or SD, put in a blank card and the film plays fine. I have Panasonic DMP-BD35 which has a SD slot on the front, i used a 32MB card and the film played with no problems. Hope this info helps.

Yes if your PS2 is hacked you can connect an external hard drive.

Make sure that the TV is set to the proper " Channel "

With some HD TVs, you have to switch between different types of input depending on what you want to access.

try this:
1. turn off PS2
2. unplug PS2
3. plug PS2 back in
4. turn on PS2

As of now, there is no way to make bluray movies region free. Games, however, are region free so you can get any PS3 games and they will work on your system.

Try setting your resolution to 480i/p and see if you can play one then.
I've also heard of turning off dvd upscaling, although your ps3 should be able to upscale your dvds.

try connecting your ps3 to aonther tv via hdmi, if it does not work then the hdmi port of your ps3 has a problem.

Hi, It sounds like there's an error with the laser that reads blu ray media as PS3 games and blu ray movies are both stored on blu ray disks which is read by a different type of laser then a dvd is read by. There's nothing you could do to fix that on your own, the only fix I've heard of is sending it in to Sony.

it has to do with the output settings, the playstation 3 has many, many settings. just have to search around and make sure everything is on the correct setting.
