Sony Walkman - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals - Page 8
No data is on the screen. How do I fix it?
That's not good. If your batteries are full, I would have to lean towards the LCD burned out either from water or vibration... it's really hard to tell without looking at it. If there is a way to reset it, I would try that first, by removing the batteries for a few seconds. If that doesn't work I would take it apart and see for my own eyes what if anything is going on inside, on the circuit board. I could look at it for you. Find me at http://NerdForce.us
Not working
Sounds like you either need some fresh new batteries, or there is a capacitor leak on the board that is draining your batteries.

Sony Walkman NWZ-B135 MP3 Player water damaged
Hi allison mccl...
If you ever find that you have to deal with a wet device, don't just abandon it.
Instead, try the following method to repair the water damage:
DO NOT TURN IT ON!
Take it apart as much as you can. Take out the battery, the memory card and whatever else can be easily disassembled. (Just make sure you can put it back together.)
Store the parts in an air-tight container covered with either dry rice, silica gel packets or kitty litter. These will absorb the moisture from your electronics device, leaving it water-free.
If no rice, gel packets or kitty litter are available, try using a vacuum to **** the water out.
DO NOT blow-dry the parts, it will only force the water farther in and cause more damage.
Please take time to rate me.
Left on charge too long wont turn on
Possible there is a damage on motherboard due to the long hours of charging- it must not happen unless there was some voltage issues. If a reset does not help then the best option is to take a second opinion for consensus and estimation .
Sony walkman NWZ-A815. Device not
Hi simon755...
Go to Device Manager
To get to Device Manager you will:
Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager.
After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit.
Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points.
If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict.
If you currnetly have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.
If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.
The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.
