Sony cmt-cp33md,place dic in machine,toc
The
c13 error means that the player is unable to read the table of contents
(TOC) on discs any more. If it's an occasional error then you can try
switching to TDK blanks as they seem to be easier for flaky players to
read, but if it's happening regularly to all discs then your machine is
unrepairable due to a total lack of spare parts.
On the plus
side, there are millions of MD units now lying unused as folks have
moved on from them and as they're mostly worthless people don't
generally bother with trying to sell them. Almost every piece of MD gear
I own has come free of charge via my local FreeCycle and Freegle
groups. Whatever you do, don't buy a used player from anyone: they're
all getting on now and the TOC error is an age-related fault which may
occur at any time.
If you wish to see exactly what features other machines have then visit the superb equipment browser at minidisc.org.
The site is hosted but n longer maintained though so some information
is out of date, but it's still the most comprehensive source of free
information about MD available.
Sorry here's probably no hope for
your player, but I hope that my reply has given you a practical
alternative means of solving your problem.
13 years old Sony ICF-SW7600 not working
Sony radios of this era had notorious capacitor problems.... also several other brands were affected. These capacitors were underrated and the technology to make them was not at it's best back then. The cure is to replace the capacitors on the board with new electrolytics. About 28 of them need to be replaced but the big problem is to find someone to do this. the original capacitors are surface mount and must be removed and new radial lead caps put in their place, some are rather tough to get at and the new ones have to be placed carefully. My SONY ICF-SW7600 now works as new and maybe even better!
I have done this myself as I have skills working with surface mount capacitors. I offer my services to those who cannot find service for their radios. Please email me for details, I am not into making bucks on this, I just want to see these radios kept working and bringing enjoyment to their owners.

My sony cfs-w360boombox plays tape at high speed
there may be 2 possibles
1, the pinch roller is not going down and staying in the fixed when during playback, easy way to check power down the unit, press play and see if it looks firm, it will push back, if working right
if its loose, it may well have come off a little sping, and may well be an easy ish fix, by someone who know about cassette decks,
2, the speed adjustment has failed, there will be an internal speed control, which keeps the playback at a correct speed, if this has failed it may be fixable, but only by someone who can take it to bits and remove and solder a new one in, and they are very small and Sony items i have had have failed on speed control! too for me its a junker box
good luck
My Sony PS-LX520 turntable skips with tone arm not moving
Check the needle, if its not that then you can check the tracking, the relationship between downward weight on the needle and lateral movement across the record. you will need the manual for the instructions
It can be tricky so if you are not sure then consult a good hifi shop or tech.
Hope this helps
Thanks for using FixYa
