This is a pretty old set (2006) and you can get a much better TV (brighter, higher resolution) now for less than it would cost you to have someone fix it. If you want to open it up yourself, look for something that is causing it to overheat - air vents blocked by dust or an inoperable fan. Short of that, look for the next e-waste collection.

The power trip off means that the main board has a short and so there is a high current drain which triggers the protect circuit to work and switch off.
So to trace it requires that the different driver sections be checked for possible high drain or heating. Check for dy points soldering.
