Hi,

It happens with me too.And there is nothing to do with the Java.It is the chat application itself.

Off course Vaio is batter,but u got problem installing fedora in both of them.I want to mention that u use fedora in a software Named SANDBOX which intsalled fedore within xp or vista.

Yes, it is a switching power supply meaning that it automatically detects 120v (US) or 240v (EU) voltage. The only thing you might need is an adapter to convert the actual plug in from US to EU standards; they can be picked up for just a few dollars.

After 8 days of no life at all in the laptop , having 2 computer technicians around saying it was probably the motherboard and just about to send to Sony I pressed the power button and hey presto it worked again..Guess it was just sleeping or hibernating...after all it is spring now....Actually one guy of the many forums I have visited advised just to leave the Laptop alone and perhaps it would mend itself..and hey presto he was right, although having said that I have yet to turn the laptop off and startup again..HMMMMMMM...

First of all, if you are using Internet Explorer, reset the settings to default. The easiest way for that is : open Internet Explorer, choose tools > internet settings > advancedsettings > click on the reset button and click one the restore button. After that restart Internet Explorer and try connecting to the internet.

Usually, with a dropdown toolbar, you can put the cursor all the way to the top of the screen and with the toolbar visible, right click on it to activate a control menu from which you can stop it from dropping down, unlock it and move it to either sidr, or even turn it off altogether.

If this doesn't work, try entering yout laptop model name in Google search followed by "disable dropdown toolbar" for blogs and forums for your laptop model that may have a specific command or trick for your machine.

First remove the battery and plug in your power adapter and see if the units operates correctly. If so then replace the smart battery. IF not then you may have a issue with the DC to DC converter inside the computer, at which time its time for service, also check sonys websites answer forum for more information on this problem.

The problem is your computer is not compatable to run the Ubuntu operational system, it comes up not supported. But you can go online to forums that deal with these types of problems, because there are a lot of people out there that swear by this system.

Have the same problem. After chatting with the online help, they informed me that I need to purchase the original discs to get this software. When I try to do that it says that they are no longer available and neither are the replacements. I emailed them for an answer to the problem. I saw on a forum that there are companies that have the discs, but so far I havent found them. BUMMER!

Do you have your router secured with a WEP key? if so, have you enter that key on your computer?
check that and get back to this forum and give me an answer

You can uninstall the Vaio VSC Vaio survey program from the control panel>programs & features list. If you want to keep the survey program sony put on your system, but don't want it to run, remove it from the startup list.

THis means that the operating system of this computer is already corrupted especially the boot manager. This is the file the requires your computer to boot up to windows. You can still use the computer but you need to reinstall the operating system again by using the recovery disk of the computer.
