you must test the adapter measure the output compare the label indicating how many voltage 17.5vdc or 19.2 vdc, use the VOM 2) if there faulty, try to start with the battery, it doesnot start,use the adapter if is is good.3) Otherwise open the small battery for CMOS, and measure the voltage 3.5 if is low replace and clean contact, and start the computer. First, Did you check the Windows 8 Spec Requirements? If you have a laptop the Graphics Card will be a problem, most likely it can not be changed.
