What if there's no tape inside of the camera, does it still same?

You need to download the onboard memory on to a memory card .

You have to have a cable to go from your Camera to your Computer. The computer side will undoubtedly be USB. The camera side will probably mini USB - but could be different based on the camera. You might need some drivers on your Computer so that it recognizes the external device (camera). If your lucky - it will "find it" on it's own. The cable you need probably did not come with your camera - as manufacturers have become increasingly cheap. See picture of Mini-USB Cable. Another option is popping out the memory card and either inserting it into the memory card port on your computer (alot of laptops have them) or getting an adapter (Memory Card to USB) - see picture. Size of adapter will depend on the memory card.

Error code 31:41 indicates a fault in the tape transport system can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly, a dislodged pinch roller or a defective clutch in the take-up spool and will require disassembling the camera to repair. This can usually be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a really user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.
