I would go to symatec webste, and do a virus scan. You might have a virus that is deleting the files off. You can try going to www.dell.com enter your computer model number and download the sonic program.

this masage you get when you didnt choose the recorder ...or ..you have a larger project and auto sected a dvd instead of a cd..and you only have a cd writer on the computer ...so ...it does not see the recorder ...so it offer s the posibility to choose a folder to save the project as an image file ...for later burning...

Sonic usually has a temporary storage folder where it puts copies of what it is burning.

I think you will find that if you check the OPTIONS in sonic you will find a directory name and if you look in there you will find copies of the files it hasn't deleted.

Or you could just use the windows search option and when you see the folder with all the files delete them from there.
