URGH. Have a Sio/Scan Equity 81690 automic clock weather station, which I really like. Problem is the remote transmitter. Searched many times, can't find a replacement. The cosmetics of the remote transmitter isn't important to me, as long as it functions. Any ideas? Mike

When the clock is NOT trying to sync with the atomic clock in Denver, press the + button to change the time zone. The default is P (pacific time).

If your clock radio is like mine here is how it works: Hold down the "Alarm Set Off/On." While holding this button down, press on the "Hour" button until you get the time you want to wake up. Set the minutes the same way. Be careful- look at the red light to the left of the digital time to make sure it is lit up next to the " AM" spot just to the left (not digital, but usually on the radio metal or plastic itself. Then let go of these buttons. Go to the right-hand side and slide the button to show if you want to be wakened by the radio or a buzzer. If you want to keep on that schedule, you don't need to do anything. Just move the button to "Off" the night before a day off so you can finally sleep in! Hope this helps.

Make sure you put in the right location and timezone in the settings. There is also a checkbox for automatic daylight savings time.

What model of alarm clock is this?

You may need to reset you inside unit by removing the batteries and restarting it. the outside unit should then be able to sycn to the base unit.

taking the batterys out and leaving them out for 60 seconds or more will in effect reset the clock. Put the new batteries in and wait for the skyscan to detect the outside temperature (if this unit has a outside sender). after this show on the screen push the button that corresponds to your time zone. You can now set the clock with the push buttons or take the clock to a wall that faceing? ( you don't say where you are located), the WMV signalyou need to set the clockto is coming from Colorado USA ( if your in the us) so make sure the back of the clock is facing toward colorado. let the clock sit overnight as the best signal will be recieved when its dark and especially in the very early morning, just before sunrise. this should automatically set the clock for you. good luck

My outdoor unit does not pick up on the clock

where the light comes from you should be able to take the cover of there you might neeed a small flat headed screw driver to gently prise it off

Change the time zone setting

Hi, your clock radio is an atomic clock radio... no wait you don't need your lead underwear! it receives a signal from the atomic clock and sets the time to match it, after you set the time zone and put it on auto dst you will never have to set the time again!

ENVIRONMENTAL RECEPTION EFFECTS:


The Atomic Clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to, the following circumstances:

• Long transmitting distance.
  
• Nearby mountains and valleys.
  
• Among tall buildings.
  
• Near railway, high voltage cable, etc.

LOCATION PRECAUTIONS:


This clock receives a radio wave much like a TV or radio. Be sure to locate it near a window or some other location where reception is good. Avoid the following locations, which can interfere with proper reception.




Synchronization signal reception can be received in Continental USA only. In other areas, you can still use this clock by making time settings manually.


QUICKSTART

1. Place your clock in a location with optimal signal marks on the LCD.
   
2. It is recommended to put the clock near a window. Please move the clock to another location if difficulty in signal reception or unstable signal marks is encountered.
   

Installation
Simply plug the SkyScan clock radio into any household outlet.


Battery Back-up Operation
This clock radio is equipped with alarm time memory that can be powered with a 9-volt battery (not included).When normal household power is interrupted, or the AC cord is unplugged, the battery will power the clock to keep track of the time and set alarm. When the backup battery activates, the LCD backlight is off, however, the functions of alarm and radio still operate.


To Install the Battery

1. Remove the battery cover at the bottom of the case.
   
2. Connect a 9-volt battery to the connector plug.
   
3. Insert the battery in the compartment and replace the cover.
   

Note: An Alkaline battery is recommended. Carbon Zinc and rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries not recommended.

Set the Time Zone Press the SET button in sequence until you see PST(Pacific Standard Time)blinking below the time digits on the LCD. Press UP or DOWN button to select your time zone.


Daylight Savings Time
Always slide the DST switch to ON position unless the clock is used in an area without Daylight Savings Time.
**Special attention to usage in Arizona and Indiana. **Arizona and parts of Indiana do not recognize Daylight Savings Time (DST). Turn the DST off if the clock is used in these areas.

I fixed my problem with help from someone at an email address that I found on the back of my clock. They directed me to a free website that gave me detailed directions for setting my clock. Thanks, but no thanks, for offering the "un-free" advice.

I doubt there is a way to change that, but it's also not clear which way it's supposed to go anyway.  Mine projects "right side up" if you are facing the same direction as the clock is facing - that is imagine you are looking away from the face of the clock.  It is upside down if you are looking at the clock's readout.  One way to solve the problem would be for you to turn the wheel of the projector to make it face the opposite wall.  It will then be right side up.

Hi. There should be a switch on top of the radio that allows you to select the time zone. It is just behind the snooze bar and labeled PST-MST-CST-EST. Try that.
