Its a problem with direct x, there are two course of actions for you......
1. (which i would recommend) Go here http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35 and download the direct x and install and restart your computer.
2. (If the above step fails, which is very rare) uninstall and reinstall skype

pls feel free to post any doubts you may have........

1.try to totally uninstall the skype version that you have.

2.reboot your PC.

3. install the latest version.

On the message when ur move ur mouse to message right side three dots will be shown on vertical click on that there it will show remove option

With a username and an e-mail address, you can send a request for a new password to Skype.
To receive the password, make sure your SPAM settings are right.

Also make sure the e-mail address you signed up with, is still in use.

Though if you don’t remember your username and e-mail address anymore, below are listed some suggestion to help you to remember and/or retrieve them.

1) Username / e-mail address: Enter Skype in browser or Explorer address bar. Double click user folder, double click, or open (with Notepad), profile 256 or 4096. Email address and user name should be there.

2) Username: do a Skype search for your own username and fill in as much as possible
details. Sometimes you have to do more search options then one.

3) Username: send one of your contacts of whom you also know an e-mail address, a request
to look for your username in his/her contact list.

4) Password: in case you´re using the Firefox browser and have ticked "save passwords" in
"preferences" ... it´s there.

5) When all this isn’t of any help, there is a final solution: if you have a paid service with
Skype, Skype Staff can retrieve your user name / e-mail address but needs billing details

1. If you have the latest version of Skype ( 5.2.60.113) you can check this by going to Help(on the right hand side of the menu bar ) (click on it after you sign in to Skype) You will see a window with 4 tabs, Skype Home, Profile, Facebook, and Give Feedback (to the right of where your contacts are shown) If you do not see this after signing in to Skype, you need to update to the latest version

2. Then go to About Skype. If you don't have the latest version, under Help>Check for updates. Click on it and upgrade to the latest version.

3. To update your profile with your information, you need to click on the Profile Tab. Then select edit. Then click on the blue links to add numbers, email addresses etc.

Welcome to Fixya. If you forgot your password with skype you have an option to reset it. all you need to do is to provide the email address that you've registered with skype and skype will send you the password.

You can go to the skype website www.skype.com and then select the forgot password option which would use your email id to send you the reset link.

I don't know your password and I would think you would want to be the only person who does, no?If you are having problems remembering your password you could always reset it and enter a new one in Skype.

log into ur skype click on skype now scroll down to sign out now change ur username and password to the account u want to use, since u r using the same email address just make sure u enter the password for the account u want to use, please vote if this solve ur issue.

If you know the email address you signed up with on Skype, just visit the Skype website in order to reset your password.https://login.skype.com/account/password-reset-request

If you remember what email you used to sign up, then go to the site and press on forgot password to retrieve it. If not you'll have to make a new account. Sorry.

You can still reset it. Open the Skype, enter your username, click "Forgot you password?", (you can do even if you don't enter the username, but it's better since you'll be taken to your personal page, check the url, you'll be be able to see your username).

another windows will open up on the Browser, there, you'll see box "Enter your email address", type in your email address and click "submit"

You'll receive a temporary password on your email. Use the code to login and change the password after you are logged in. Note: to change the password, you'll need the temporary password, so don't delete the email, better note it down and change it once you are logged in.

Open up a new account with similar names. you can also get a new email address these are free. Both the Skype and email accounts can be opened for free. This is the only possible solution be cause if you forgot both it is hard but if you can restore your email then you can acquire a new password form Skype.

Hi saleemsahmed. You can have a new password sent to you by going skype login page.

Then click "Forgotten you password?"

You will be asked then to type in the email address you used when you registered with Skype. Then they'll email a code to that email address so you can access your skype account again.
