I don't definitely know but taking a guess, assuming the fuel pump switches off after a while - fuel is a valuable part of the cooling of the fuel injection system and it could be the fuel pump keeps running to circulate fuel and carry away some of the heat that initially increases after switching off and could otherwise damage sensitive components.

When in a pinch I have used a business card to set the gap, remember close will advance timing further will retard timing, unless you are a long way from the flywheel gap most likely not the issue but will affect spark intensity. Most likely bad pickup coils or weak magnets which requires flywheel replacement.

What is the resistance on your stator leads, when running what is your output from the start (before the regulator) it will be ac volts there will be 3 leads.

Sounds like the alternator is faulty!

I guess im not understanding what full lock is,but check around your steering column for any bare wires that could short out and kill the engine. Its a common problem.

A fuse?

Could be a fuse for the fan, possibly using a different thermal for the fan than the gauge and the thermal is bad. Try hot wiring power to the fan, see if the fan even works.

Possible bad alternator. Check the voltage it's sending. Could be a bad cell in the battery as well as a cable.
Any auto parts store should be able to load test your battery. If your battery is good it's pointing to the alternator.

Hi, it sounds like your charging unit for the battery is not doing its job properly .You should get it checked out.

had that problem on motor cycle ,tore it a part and couldnt find anything then i started it an the starter button stuck halfway pulled out an everything worked

I am skidoo fan and I love the sdi motor!!! absolutely bullet proof!! I am a firm believer in using BPS synthetic oil, it usually says what type of oil it requires right by the oil fill cap....go with manufacturers recommendation

Typically when you have to jump from your solenoid, your ignition has gone bad. I would replace that! Good luck

Check the drive clutch spring and weights. there is probably something broke or wore out.

Do a compression ck. the warmer the engine the less compression.

Change your external coil.

Sounds as if you may have missed getting the cam timing correctly set.
