Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX while on Autofocus mode the focus ring moves slightly when half-pressing. Is this normal? is there anyway to fix this?

It is not normal for the focus ring to move slightly when using autofocus mode on the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX lens. This could be caused by a problem with the lens or with the camera body. One thing you can try is to check if the lens mount on the camera is clean and free from debris, as this can cause the lens to move when the camera's autofocus system is trying to adjust the focus. You should also check if your lens firmware is updated to the latest version and make sure your camera firmware is also up to date.

Hello All, I need instructions on how to dissasemble the Sigma 300-800mm f5.6 APO EX DG HSM lens to clean an inner element. Does anyone have a service manual/exploded views/parts diagram please?

You can't do this yourself. It needs to be carried out by professionals and is a 'clean room' with service techs in full dust proof protective wear. Send it to them. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/support/ ..

Err 01 Communication between Camera & Lens is Faulty

cleaning the contacts did nothing for me. what ended up fixing it was turning the camera to AV mode and setting to the highest f value. (f22) and then taking a picture. after that i was able to change it to what ever and resume as normal. hoping i dont see that error again.

What adapter do I need for a Sigma AF 75-300 lens on a Canon Rebel XTi SLR?

Question edited for clarity. You get the Sigma lens for the camera in Canon fit. https://www.google.com/search?q=sigma+lens+af+75-300+for+canon+rebel+xti Can you use Sigma lenses on Canon cameras? Since Sigma lenses are made to be fully compatible with Canon cameras, they are backwards-compatible. This means that you can use a Sigma lens on a Canon DSLR camera. Similarly, the Sigma cameras are backwards-compatible with Canon lenses. Where can I find out how to take apart a Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens?

Taking it apart is not the problem - re-assembling it will be. Unless you have access to an optical laboratory, where laser instruments can measure the exact tolerances required, don't even think about it. You will be left with a pile of optical components, and a far higher repair bill than if you had just let the experts sort out the problem in the first place.

What lens mount do you have on the lens? In other words, with what make film camera did you use the lens? A DSLR from the same company should be able to use the lens.

That lens is not an AFS type lens. The D40x camera only uses AFS compatible lenses. You could still mount and use it in M, but it will never give you autofocus or TTL flash.

Why does my sigma tiffen lens work on my rebel T5i & not on my rebel T2i camera says no connection to lens

Tiffen is a brand of filters not a lens. if your sigma lens will work on 1 camera and not on the other then check the lens mount, electronic contacts, clean them if needed. check the settings in the camera if there needs to be a change.

Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO for Nikon AFD Focusing problem

had this lens for my Pentax and used it for more than 10 years without trouble. Have you got the lock on? should be a little button on the side. Has it been dropped, maybe damage to the threads inside. If its still under warranty then take it to the place you bought it from with all its paper work and get it checked out.

I have a 170-500 Sigma zoom lens and I need a scheme to understand how to mount it. It was disassembled by an unqualified technician and now he failed to mount it. Thanks.

Take it to a Qualified technician and get it fixed properly. I have this same lens for my Pentax K3, its a very good lens and worth getting it fixed by a proper tech who knows what they are doing.

My sigma 170-500mm used on canon takes one shot

I have this lens on my Pentax K3 and have never had a problem with it. The sensor is in the camera body not the lens so look in your camera manual for how to clean that. There will be a command in the cameras menu, maybe in setup. If that is not enough then go into the menu and lock the mirror up and clean out manually with a cotton bud with a drop of alcohol, methylated spirits. Be very gentle doing this. Also clean the electrical contacts on lens mount, both lens and camera. Test the camera now. If it works then job done, if not then you have more serious problem and its time to take it to a camera repair tech.

Sigma EF-530 DG ST - not working, on test or camera all 6 LED lights displaying. Any thoughts?

I don’t usually play with flash that isn’t built in- I prefer natural light, but...if this were me I would: A) take very fine sandpaper and very lightly go one time over all contacts for the flash and camera. B) I would also see if my button batteries in my camera needed changing. As I remember they have something to do with recognizing lenses and flash attachments. C) I would also make sure the batteries in the flash, although changed, were making proper contact with the battery terminals and might also lightly sand those as well since the flash is little used.

If you take it to pieces, you will end up with a (hopefully complete) kit of parts which you will have to pay a repairer to re-assemble for you. Your choice.

The segment just below the distance scale wobbles.

Do you mean the tripod foot ? If so, there is a screw with which to tighten it. If it is not that, then it will need servicing or repair, which will be expensive.
