How do I unblock my dishwasher - mistakenly washed a tealight holder with the candle still in it !!!
The wax probably melted into a liquid state which ran out with the water, but unlike water, when it started to return to a room temperature state, started to solidify and coated a number of internal areas within the washer. If you could run extremely hot water through your washer it could wash it out, but since it does not turn on, you will need a professional to come in and do an analysis on the situation. It might be similar to someone putting sugar in a car's gas tank; once it melts and mixes with the gas and is distributed throughout the internal engine, serious problems will occur.

The drying cycle on my dishwasher is no longer working.
The dryer uses the coil in the bottom of the tub to heat up the air in the tub and speed drying time. The coil is like the same item that is used in a stove. The issue could be that coil is burned out. The easiest way to check that is to get a meter that measures ohms. Take the dishwasher out of the counter installation and make sure it is drained. Lay it on its side and look for the connections on the bottom that have wires going to the coil. Test the resistance on the coil using the meter.
Siemens lady 130 dishwasher overfilling at start of wash cycle
There is a float at the bottom of the washer. See if it is stuck. It should move up and down freely. This activates the water shutoff when it reaches the proper level. If it is sticking it could allow the washer to overfill . If that is not the problem then I would look at the valve it activates itself.
