My sharp sound bar makes a static noise when running through my Sony Bravia tv

Easy fix. No soldering. We have 4 of them. Did not want to fill the landfill. Found the noise coming from the power supply with a scope. Studied the Service Manual. Discovered that they use the exact same power supply in both sound bar and subwoofer. Swapped them. and thing work perfectly with no noise coming from the subwoofer that i can tell. Definitely no noise coming from the sound bar. A bit more details: I connected my iPhone to the sound bar. Played Spotify with the volume turned all the way down. Static loud and clear on sound bar. On my sound bar, I discovered the static went away after about 15 minutes. I could see it go away with scope. Disconnect power for about 2 minutes and when reattached, static starts again. Static went away again after about 15 minutes. Disconnect Power FIRST. Get your electric screwdriver and remove a bunch of screws including the screws on the connector panels. The power supply has a large yellow transformer and two silver heat sinks. AC power goes in one end and a single strip connector with a bunch of wires comes out the other. MAKE SURE POWER IS DISCONNECTED!!!! This could kill you if you miss this step. Remove the power supply. Disconnect power on your subwoofer. Remove the 4 silver screws on the bottom of the subwoofer. There are about 4 black screws with little arrows holding the back panel in place. Remove those. You will only be able to slide the assembly out about 2 inches. Cut the white wire tie on the big foam covered wire. This is the speaker wire and once the wire tie is cut, you can remove the assembly about halfway. You will see a little coil of wire with three wire attached with another white wire tie. (Ferrite core just in case you wanted to know). Cut the wire tie and the entire assembly will come out. Remove the speaker and the three wires from the connectors and the whole assembly slides out. Swap the power supply with the one from the sound bar. Put it all back together or test it if you want to insure this fixes it. Enjoy!

How to shut off the alarm on a Sharp model spc106

I am uncertain how to present this to you. Press the ALARM ON/OFF button to turn off the alarm. If you want to turn on the alarm again, press the ALARM ON/OFF button once more. Detailed instructions regarding the controls can be found in a manual I think available at the following location: Sharp Alarm Clock Manuals and User Guides PDF Preview and Download (all-guidesbox.com) I don't have a guide to the internals of this clock but here is a tear down of a similar model if you are game to explore the workings. You could go through that and maybe get an idea of how the systems work together. If you are unable to fix the problem, you will find the contact details for Sharp support in the manual. Here is the tear down link: SHARP spc800 alarm clock Teardown - iFixit

I have a sharp atomic clock model spc900 and the alarm goes off every night at midnight. I don't know how to stop it.

The SPC900 has 2 alarms. On the back of the unit there is a buttion labeled "Alarm On/Off". Press the that button to cycle through the alarm on/off possibilties. On the screen you will see what alarm(s) is (are) turned on. There are4 possible settings: off (no alarms displayed), alarm 1 only, alarm 2 only or both alarms. The indicators are just above the seconds display and to the right of the big hour/minute display.

Sharp XL-MP130 CD Mini Audio System. Why does the standby light blink 4 short blinks and one long blink on my xlmp130 stereo

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'. Question moved from televisions Found this on Fixya Anonymous Aug 14, 2009 OK here it is right from Sharp's service center support. The unit is reporting power surge and if the usual unplugging does not fix it then there is damage to the power unit. I mentioned that all fuses were OK but they still say that the fuses being intact does not eliminate the supply from damage The flashing lights are operating from the low voltage part of the power supply but the main transformer is what is damaged. The buttons are operated from this transformer and as they do not respond then this is the area of damage to the supply. The unit will have to be taken to a service center. If you are in Australia check a service centre near you from here http://support.sharp.net.au/default.asp?... https://www.google.com/search?q=xlmp130+stereo%2C+blink+codes ..

My Sharp CD-BH950 mini component system will not change tracks on CD's. Have tried all trays and multiple CD's with no luck. It just plays the first track over and over.

Look over your player and see if a program is set. Sometimes you can set a program on the CD player to play the first song on cds. Turn program play off. It’s sometimes called delete bank where all song are skipped except first track. Or you can have the repeat button on. Turn that off. There also could be a malfunction with the player. If your still having problems reset the system.

Sharp model GX-CD 610 GY has error 000 what does error 000 mean

The basic binary errors are usually something small. 0000 is usually a cleaning error. I would try to clean the lens with the recommended cleaner and then try again. If problem persists the lens may be saying its dirty due to a scratch on it. These are hard to diagnose because it's a process to remove. I would clean it then replace the lens if needed.

I have a Sharp CD-DH950P.. For all 5 trays I get the cannot read signal. I tried a CD disk cleaner and I get the same message.

Possible laser failure. Could be dust on the lens ... CD cleaners do more harm than good and are sold because people want them.
